As one of my coworkers who doesn't speak very good english used to say... things just keep getting worser and worser for Tiger Woods...
The news has gotten so bad that Gatorade has dropped their sponsorship of the best golfer in the world and probably history in Tiger Woods. I've lost count but last I checked Tiger Woods was up to something like seven or eight or nine girls on the side.
Of course Gatorade is saying that they are dropping Tiger not because of the tree he hit and the nine girls that fell out but because of other things which I don't think anyone is really paying attention to... According to Gatorade they've been working on this months now... allegedly.
The funny thing is that back in the day Tiger Woods could control the entire media or what seemed to be the entire media because "the media" only consisted of the sports media and usually just the golf media. If you don't know golf then you don't know that most media outlets and most journalists and reporters are scared to death of Tiger Woods...
They're scared to death of Tiger Woods because he is golf and if you cross him then he shuts you out and your career is over or goes no where because you don't have access to the biggest name in your sport. Just look at me... all I have left is this blog!
But unfortunately for Tiger this story involved Tiger Woods, the best and most popular golfer in the world, and a huge sex scandal and as we all know sex sells like a mofo and as Tiger Woods is finding out... this nation and the internet/blogosphere or non-mainstream media or whatever you want to call it has an insatiable appetite for sex scandals.
Personally I only think this is going to make Tiger a better golfer. Sure all the guys on the PGA may be laughing their tails off right now but he's going to come back pissed and he's going to take it out on the golf course.
If Tiger Woods doesn't know it yet his marriage is over. He's got to be wondering how long he's going to be appearing on the front page of TMZ and how many more of these women are going to be coming out with their own stories.
On a personal note I don't why any of these rich and famous athletes get married. What're the chances of staying faithful to your wife when you're on the road half the year and there's women throwing themselves at you everywhere you go? Look at Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees. That guy dates the hottest models and actresses available and keeps his butt out of the media because he's single.
